GPSC February 2024 Policy Dialogue: AI and Graduate Students
The U of A Graduate and Professional Student Congress cordially invites all graduate and professional students to the February Policy dialogue scheduled for today Wednesday, Feb. 28, at 5 p.m. prompt in the E.J. Ball courtroom in the Leflar Law Center and on Zoom.
Policy Dialogue is a forum where graduate and professional students interface with university administrators/experts to discuss pertinent topics that affect their wellbeing and success on campus. It is also an opportunity for GPSC members to explore possible areas of partnerships with campus organizations/units to improve service delivery and graduate students' experience.
Topic: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Graduate Students
Speaker: Curtis Maughan, director of the World Languages and Digital Humanities Studio of the Department of World Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the U of A.
Artificial intelligence has revolutionized industries, research and daily life, and it is important to explore its transformative impact, especially as it affects graduate students. AI includes machine learning, neural networks, natural language processing and more, presenting an exciting realm of possibilities and opportunities that shape the future.
