The Jane B. Gearhart Full Circle Food Pantry and Razorback Food Recovery are co-hosting the Universities Fighting World Hunger National Summit with Auburn University's Hunger Solutions Institute here in Northwest Arkansas.

They would like to invite you to join them in combating hunger on college campuses and connecting to a nationwide community with a shared mission.

This summit aims to raise awareness about food justice and food sovereignty, support students who work to combat food insecurity, explore solutions and provide them with resources to empower their own community.

Organizers are excited to have three keynote speakers:

  • Rachel Sumekh, founder of Swipe out Hunger;

  • Dan Glickman, former U.S. Secretary of Agriculture; and

  • Sunny Baker, senior director of programs and policy at the National Farm to School Network.

In addition, there will be workshops, student presentations and networking opportunities with food system changemakers.

The summit will take place on April 5-6 in Fayetteville. The deadline to register is March 15.

The cost to attend is $60 per student, $145 per non-student.

Please reach out to the event coordinator, Paul Gramling, with any questions! The contact information is listed below.
