U of A to Host 2024 SiC+X Materials and Devices Workshop Aug. 12-13

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas will host the eighth annual SiC+X Materials and Devices Workshop. This two-day event will bring together academia, government and industry representatives to discuss the latest research developments in silicon carbide (SiC) materials and devices and other related wide bandgap materials and devices.

The SiC+X Materials and Devices Workshop is slated for Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 12-13, with a dinner on Aug. 11.

Those include materials growth and characterization, physics and modeling, processing, electronics, sensors, micro-electromechanical/nano-electromechanical, SiC and other related materials for photonics, optomechanics and quantum technologies. With the new Multi-User Silicon Carbide Research and Fabrication Facility under construction, the University of Arkansas is excited to welcome leaders in the SiC research space to see the progress of the facility and collaborate on the future of silicon carbide.
