Professor Barbara Spaccini, faculty of Italian language at the Rome Center, will visit the Fayetteville campus and host a meet and greet at the World Languages and Digital Humanities Studio, J.B. Hunt Center room 207, from 4-5 p.m. today, Monday, March 25. Prospective study abroad students and anyone interested in knowing more about the Rome Center, programs of study and student life in Rome are welcome to join the event.

Located in Palazzo Taverna, the U of A's Rome Center offers a multidisciplinary learning environment and welcomes students from all disciplines for semester-long or summer study abroad programs from May to July.

Programs offered include art, art history, architecture, landscape architecture, interior architecture and design, humanities, fashion design, fashion merchandising and the Italian language.

Lectures and events are regularly organized, exposing students to local academic and cultural environments. Workshops in architecture and fashion are organized with Italian, European and U.S. academic institutions in order to encourage cultural exchange and exposure to diversity. Hands-on didactic experiences such as visits to restoration sites, community outreach and students' shows and exhibitions are also offered.
