African Students Organization to Celebrate Cultural Heritage With African Gala Night
The African Students Organization at the U of A is excited to announce its upcoming African Gala Night from 6:30-9 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at the Brodie Payne Ballroom in the Graduate Hotel, 70 N. East Ave. in Fayetteville. This event promises an enchanting evening, highlighting the rich and diverse cultures of Africa through an array of activities and performances.
Guests will have the opportunity to indulge in a variety of delectable African dishes, experience vibrant live performances, enjoy music by a DJ and witness cultural presentations that showcase the heritage of the continent. Organized by the African Students Organization, this gala night aims to fulfill its mission of fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of African cultures within the U of A and the broader community.
The African Gala Night serves as a significant platform for promoting cross-cultural dialogue and building a more inclusive campus environment. It is a celebration of the diverse backgrounds and stories that African students bring to the university, enhancing the cultural fabric of the campus community. Everyone is invited to join this festive occasion and partake in an evening of cultural exploration and unity.
This event is supported by the Student Activities Fee as a funded event by the Associated Student Government and is free to all currently enrolled University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, students who pay the student activities fee. This event is held in a venue that meets ADA standards. Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend this event.
