Wellness Hike

The BGSA Wellness Hike event provides an opportunity for graduate students to gather at Kessler Mountain Regional Park for an approximately two-mile hike, which will include a pause for an educational session discussing the benefits of outdoor recreation, healthy eating, mindfulness practice and rejuvenation to promote their physical and mental health in support of their academic performance.

The hike starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 4, at Kessler Mountain Regional Park, which is south of campus. Follow Razorback Road past the interstate and then right on Washington County Road 200 to enter the park. Trails are on the west side of the park.

Participants will receive a stainless steel reusable water bottle with the logo of the Black Graduate Student Association. Following the hike, lunch will be provided to participants.

Earth Day was on Monday, and the goal of the hike and wellness education session is to promote outdoor recreation awareness, appreciation, understanding of environmental sustainability and health and well-being for graduate students.
