Camp Aldersgate Amphitheater

Little Rock, Ark. — UA architecture students have set the stage for stories, plays, and special memories at Camp Aldersgate, a Little Rock camp that serves children with special needs. In just six weeks, four students designed and built an outdoor amphitheater with fully accessible seating, a fire pit, colorful artwork, and a breathtaking view of the lake. This Thursday, they will dedicate the space. Please join the students, Professor Laura Terry, and Camp Aldersgate staff at the dedication ceremony. S’mores will be served!

WHAT: Dedication of the new amphitheater at Camp Aldersgate

WHO: UA School of Architecture students, Professor Laura Terry, Dean Jeff Shannon, Camp Aldersgate Director Sarah Wacaster and supporters of the project, including representatives from the UA Women’s Giving Circle and The Home Depot.

WHEN: 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, 2005

WHERE: Visitors should come to main office of Camp Aldersgate to be directed to amphitheater site. Camp Aldersgate is located at 2000 Aldersgate Road in west Little Rock.
