The community event will help fund academic scholarships awarded to UA students through the Alumni Association. Individuals and groups are invited to participate.

"We're excited about the partnership with The Market," said Terry Bumgardner, director of communications and marketing for the Arkansas Alumni Association. "The event will be great fun, plus it promises to offer more academic scholarship dollars for university students."

Event participants will compete in several categories to include Best Over-All Tailgate, Most Spirited Tailgate, Most Original Tailgate and Best Flavor & Taste.

The Big Bad Chicken Cook-Off will challenge and test tailgaters' ability to work under pressure.
