Best, Brightest to Compete in 9th Annual International Graduate Logistics Case Competition

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- The Supply Chain Management Research Center in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas, in partnership with FedEx Freight and more than a dozen corporate sponsors, is hosting an international graduate logistics case competition on Feb. 23-25.

WHEN:           Saturday, Feb. 25 at 8 p.m. (social hour begins at 5:30 p.m.)

Competition judges, including logistics experts, university professors and officials from FedEx Freight

 
DETAILS:
  • Sponsored by FedEx Freight, this annual event brings together top graduate students from nine major universities who are studying logistics and supply chain management.
  • Teams of 5-6 students are each given 24 hours to review a business case and prepare a 30-minute presentation for a panel of industry judges without the aid of the Internet or outside materials. 
  • Over the years, the International Graduate Logistics Case Competition has earned a reputation for fueling a fierce rivalry among the competing schools.
  • It is the ideal forum for meeting some of the best and brightest logistics candidates in the country and assessing their critical thinking, analytical and communication skills in a “real-life” situation.
  • In addition to FedEx Freight, gold sponsors include Arkansas Best Freight System Inc.; J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc.; E.& J.
