Collins Reading Monday at Arkansas Union

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Members of the media are invited to cover two-time U.S. Poet Laureate Billy Collins, one of America’s most popular and best-selling poets. He will be introduced by Miller Williams, professor emeritus and former director of the University of Arkansas Press, which published Collins’ first book of poetry, “The Apple That Astonished Paris,” in 1988.

WHAT: Poetry reading by Billy Collins. Followed by reception and book signing.

WHEN: 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6

WHERE: Alltel Ballroom of the Arkansas Union on the University of Arkansas campus.

PARKING: Available in Lot 44 north of Reynolds Razorback Stadium or in the Union Parking Garage, accessible from Stadium Drive.

PHOTOGRAPHY: Still and video photographers will be allowed to shoot for the first five minutes of the reading. A mult-box will be available for broadcast media.
