DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT APPOINTED FOR COLLEGE OF EDUCATION AND HEALTH PROFESSIONS

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The College of Education and Health Professions at the University of Arkansas has announced the appointment of Robin Baldwin of Springdale, Ark., as its new Director of Development, effective July 1, 1999.

Baldwin brings nearly a decade's worth of sales and marketing experience to the College. She held various key positions with Washington Regional Medical Center, Ozark Guidance Center and Knoll Pharmaceutical Company before her appointment at the University. She currently serves several civic and professional organizations, including the Junior Service League of Northwest Arkansas and the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership program.

"I am extremely pleased that Robin will be joining the College," said Dean Charles Stegman. "She brings a strong set of professional talents, educational background and volunteer experience that will help us achieve our fund-raising goals. We will begin immediately to engage Robin in our development efforts."

Clay Edwards, assistant vice chancellor for development, said, " A critical mission of this College is to provide service to the state and region, and private support has been a key to the success it enjoys today. Robin brings the enthusiasm we need to continue the fine efforts of the faculty and staff of the College of Education and Health Professions. The citizens of Arkansas benefit every day from these contributions."

As the development officer for the college, she also will play an important role in developing new relationships with alumni as well as nurturing the existing partnerships with current supporters of the College of Education and Health Professions.

Baldwin holds a master’s degree in health science (1995) and a bachelor’s degree in psychology (1991), both from the University of Arkansas.
