DR. MICHAEL YOUNG ELECTED FELLOW IN THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OF HEALTH BEHAVIOR

Dr. Michael Young, professor of Health Science in the College of Education & Health Professions, has been elected a Fellow in the American Academy of Health Behavior. The Academy is a society of distinguished researchers in the area of health behavior, health education and health promotion.

"This is a great honor for Dr. Young," said Dean of the College Charles Stegman. "The College is extremely proud of his accomplishments."

Dr. James Eddy of the American Academy of Health Behavior commended Dr. Young for his academic accomplishments, indicating that the status of fellow has been bestowed upon him because "his extensive scholarly productivity has contributed significantly to the advancement of knowledge in health behavior, health education and health promotion."

Dr. Young earned his PH.D. in Health Education at Texas A&M University and has been a member of the University of Arkansas faculty since 1980.
