FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- University Recreation will host its fourth-annual UREC Membership Appreciation Lunch from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., on Wednesday, July 10, in the Health, Physical Education and Recreation building, Gym 2. The event is free and is open to all UREC members and those interested in becoming a member.

Hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, vegetarian options, sides and drinks will be served.  The first 75 attendees will receive a UREC reusable tote bag.

"We are excited to host the fourth annual UREC Membership Appreciation luncheon," said Jeremy Battjes, director of University Recreation. "It is always a fun way to get to know and to thank our members."

Door prizes including an iPod donated by the University of Arkansas Bookstore, massages, fitness assessments and small group trainings will be drawn for at this event. Only current UREC members, as well as people who sign up for membership at the event will be eligible to win a door prize.

Faculty and staff who purchase or renew an annual membership at this time will receive a 10 percent discount, as well as a UREC gift bag.

The event will provide an opportunity for those attending to visit with the UREC professional staff and members, tour the facility, and discuss what a UREC membership encompasses.
